Haiti and the NAPW

February 21, 2010

I am proud to be a longtime member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), a countrywide network of 150,000 women. NAPW’s mission is to connect like-minded women from every industry, both professionally and socially. Recently, the NAPW has pledged to donate 10 cents for every dollar that its members contribute to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund. If every one of the NAPW’s 150,000 members donated one dollar, the end amount would be $165,000. Even now, weeks after the earthquake, basic needs, like shelter, medical supplies, and food and water, are not being met for Haitians. To see what the NAPW is doing to help and how you can donate, visit http://www.napw.com. If you are not an NAPW member, you can find and donate to a number of other Haiti relief funds here: http://www.charitynavigator.org. A helpful guide, Charity Navigator not only lists every charity in the country by rank, but also gives you advice on the different ways in which you can help.
